Link to us, share, reprint

If something here would help the people you serve, use it. This page says exactly what you may do without asking — because the point of the site is that families get the information, not that they get it from us.

Linking

Link to any page, any time, no permission needed. Deep links to a specific guide, calculator or checklist are better than links to the home page — send people to the thing that helps them. Links don't expire: we keep URLs stable, and when a page moves we redirect the old address.

Suggested link text, if it's useful:

  • Viva Filipino — practical guides and calculators for Filipino families abroad→ https://vivafilipino.com/
  • The 3 A.M. Hospital Sheet: a one-page plan for the night the hospital calls→ https://vivafilipino.com/downloads/hospital-emergency-sheet/
  • Glossary: the words Filipino families abroad run into (SPA, TCT, RA 9225…)→ https://vivafilipino.com/glossary/

Ready to paste

Three versions of the same link — pick the one that fits the space. Each is plain HTML or plain text, nothing that loads from our servers, no tracking.

Short link (HTML)

One line — for a resource list or a sidebar.

<a href="https://vivafilipino.com/">Viva Filipino</a> — practical guides and calculators for Filipino families abroad.

Paragraph (HTML)

For a resources page with a sentence or two per entry.

<p><a href="https://vivafilipino.com/">Viva Filipino</a> is a free, independent site for Filipino families abroad: caring for aging parents in the Philippines, sending money home, managing property, immigration and working abroad, and planning the return. Practical guides, calculators and printable checklists, with every figure dated and sourced. No advertising, nothing for sale.</p>

Plain text

For newsletters, email, a printed bulletin, or a group post.

Reprinting and sharing the printables

Our printable checklists are licensed Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial–NoDerivatives 4.0. In plain terms:

  • You may print them, photocopy them, hand them out at a parish hall, a clinic, a consular outreach, a community event, or a nurses' association meeting; post them in a group; attach them to a newsletter — for free, as many as you like.
  • Please keep the footer line with vivafilipino.com on them (that's the attribution), and link back if you're sharing online.
  • Please don't sell them, bundle them into something you sell, or edit the content and present it as ours — if you need a changed version, write to us and we'll usually just make it.

The printables:

Quoting and excerpting the guides

Quote freely with attribution and a link — a paragraph, a table, a checklist from a guide. For reprinting a whole guide, write to us first; we'll almost always say yes for non-commercial use, and we'd like to know where it's going so we can send corrections when the rules change (they do — every guide carries an "as of" date for a reason).

For organizations and journalists

A one-paragraph description you can use as-is:

Viva Filipino (vivafilipino.com) is a free, independent site for Filipino families abroad — caring for aging parents in the Philippines, sending money home, managing property, immigration and working abroad, and planning the return. It publishes practical guides, calculators and printable checklists, with every figure dated and sourced, and takes no advertising and sells nothing. It is run by a Filipino-American family as a volunteer project.

Logo files (PNG, transparent background):

Please use them as they are — no recolouring, no stretching — and not in a way that implies we endorse a product, service, agency or candidate. We don't endorse anything; it's one of the rules the whole site runs on.

For developers and newsletter tools

  • RSS: https://vivafilipino.com/rss.xml — every published guide and letter, newest first. Fine to syndicate the titles and summaries with a link; please don't republish full text automatically.
  • llms.txt: https://vivafilipino.com/llms.txt — a plain-text map of the site for assistants and crawlers that read it.
  • Sitemap: https://vivafilipino.com/sitemap-index.xml

What we'd ask in return

Nothing, really. But if you do link or reprint, an email to hello@vivafilipino.com saying where helps us more than you'd think: we'll know which guides organizations actually use, and we can tell you when one is updated. And if something in a guide is wrong or out of date for your community, tell us — corrections are how the site earns its keep.
